I always wanted to try eyelash extensions but I was always a bit sceptical about a few things. In particular, the questions around ‘Are they are worth the money?’, ‘Do they damage your natural lashes?’ and ‘Are they are comfortable or not?’. As a completely neutral person, I can tell you that they definitely are worth it and they are not at all damaging or uncomfortable, and instead are a godsend! I absolutely love not having to wear mascara on a daily basis and being able to wake up and look pretty flawless without doing a single thing so they are really a great investment and look incredible and add a bit of glamour to your everyday look!
I found Lash Magician when we both attended a Charity Gala event. One of the prizes (donated by Lash Magician) was a set of eyelash extensions. Although I didn’t win the prize, I got talking to Sabina and I felt totally comfortable with her so I decided to go ahead and book in to get some extensions. I was a bit nervous in the run up to getting my lashes done, but any questions I had were answered by Lash Magician in the lead up so I was fully prepared and felt very excited to get my lashes done by the time the day had come.
I arrived at Lash Magician’s Covent Garden office and was met shortly after by Sabina who was extremely lovely and friendly. We had a short consultation about what sort of look I was hoping to achieve and decided to go with the classic lashes, as it was my first time. Sabina was very thorough and answered any questions I had, which were mainly around how long they lasted for and if they would damage my natural lashes at all. After we chatted, I felt totally comfortable in the know that they would last for about 3 weeks (and then would require infill’s) and they would definitely not damage my natural lashes. Shortly after, I lay on the bed and the Lash Magician began the exciting process!
I felt super relaxed and comfortable whilst having the lashes done. I had a cosy blanket put over me and relaxing music was playing in the background. Sabina and I chatted for a little bit at first whilst I was having them done and then afterwards I pretty much fell asleep – it was just like I was having a massage or a treatment, but this time when I woke up I had beautiful new lashes on! The actual application was not at all uncomfortable (you can barely feel it) so it was generally a really enjoyable process. There was no peeking at the lashes until they were fully completed – which really added to the WOW! factor at the end.
After the treatment was finished, I was over the moon with my new look! Sabina was so helpful with tips on how to get the most out of the lashes and gave me the brushes I needed to keep them full and healthy. All in all, I left feeling amazing and it added an extra bit of glamour to my face which has made a huge difference in terms of my appearance and also the time I spend putting on and taking off my makeup. I looked after my lashes very well by not putting mascara on them, brushing them daily and not using any oil-based removers on them so they still looked great after three weeks. I needed to go in for in-fills after this as I loved the full body look so I wanted to keep this up.
I would really recommend getting eyelash extensions to give you a lovely look as well as to save you time in the morning. Lash Magician will always be my go-to now as the time and consideration put in to make them look flawless and elegant is un-parallel! If you are going to get them done, you should invest and get them done properly.
